Thought on Growing market of Esports.
I remember my days as a kid when I used to play Super Mario on my video game for 3-4 hours in a row, my mom used to scold me for that. She said this a lot of time "This video game thing is going to take you no where". Well, while playing all stages of Contra, I spent as long as 6 hours. This fascination of playing video games at an age of 6 was immense.
In 2020, the Esports market is sought as an investment. While there are millions of moms all around world, especially in India, still mocks their children for spending time on it, the number people involved in Smartphone and PC gaming are still growing at an exponential level. With Gamers like Bugha and Ninja (you can out their Instagram profile) in the US to Dynamo and Kronten in India, esports has given them their life with earning in millions(both in Indian and US currency).
I also remember when the internet came in our hands, people said that this is not their cup of tea. Now, they are so dependent on it that they are paying bills, locating on maps and doing many more things with this single device called Mobile Phone. As humans, we always face difficulty in changing or shifting our mindset and in that, we lose.
With evolution of games from Super Mario and Contra in early 2000s to Counter Strike and Doom in the previous decade, we are now playing Games like Player Unknown BattleGround(PUBg), Call of Duty and Fortnite. This evolution should be taken in consideration because popular people such as Drake and Gary Vaynerchuk making Investments in the Leagues definitely makes this a platform to be looked into.
